Last week’s 2018 AIA National Convention was an overwhelming success! Over 23,000 architects descended upon New York’s Javits Center to take part in a broad range of activities. Two full floors of the Javits were loaded with top-notch vendors offering the latest advancements in building products and technologies. Education classes were filled to capacity as architects updated their skill sets and knowledge base while earning CE credits.

Award ceremonies and numerous evening events also punctuated this annual AIA conference. One of our favorite talks was given by James Stewart Polshek. He is the 74^th recipient of the American Institute of Architects 2018 Gold Medal award.
